One Doctor

Published by Greg under Uncategorized

Dr. Nichloas Gonzales is an immunologist trained at Sloane Kettering; he is one is one of the few doctors having success with pancreatic cancer and other zero percent survival cases. One of the rules I got from Dr. Nicholas Gonzales was to stay with one treatment protocol and doctor for a specific amount of time and be careful of jumping from one doctor to the next.

When it comes to cancer you can get panicked if you think something isn’t working instead of drawing no conclusions. If you are going to do an alternative protocol or even a conventional one, set a certain goal as to how long you are going to give it and what you except to achieve. For instance, “I will give this herbal protocol 6 weeks and I want to see at least a 50% reduction of the tumor.” Then when that goal is met you set a new one and if it’s not met-then you re-evaluate and explore other options.

In my healing journey this was the exact approach I created. I decided to give the herbal program 3 months with Donald Yance. As long as I didn’t see any dramatic change for the worse. Of course, in certain protocols this can happen-things gets worse before they get better-but they are usually short-lived. I questioned Donnie very candidly about his belief that he could cure my cancer-he felt he could. And I will talk more about this is another chapter

I have seen clients with seriousness illnesses jump from one protocol to the other and this really doesn’t serve you. But when it comes to a life threatening illness you, of course, get scared-you don’t want to die, you don’t want to be in more pain so you get caught up in your fears. And sometimes those fears can be sparked or fueled by people who are close to you, who might not believe totally in what you are doing, who are naturally scared of losing you. Take this as an opurtunitity to work on your boundaries with friends and family and examine if you are really communicating your needs to them without making them wrong.

What I advise with client on Sedona Retreats is when you decide to undertake a protocol, do it 100%! Alternative protocols in general have certain diet requirements-follow them as best you can to the letter. In retrospect, despite my diligence around diet, I think I could have done better. I could have ratcheted it up another notch. Like going on all juice and raw food diet. But there are many different approaches to diet. I would strongly suggest finding a alternative doctor that has specific ideas about diet and specific written diet plans they want you to follow. If they don’t you might question their thoroughness. And also, a note on diet, even if you buy organic food, I would go the extra step and clean it with hydrogen peroxide or Clorox. Organic food can become containtmentated on its way to market. You will find more about this cleaning protocol in the book, Living Better Longer, about the work of Dr. Hazel Parcells

In conclusion, stay with one doctor for a set amount of time, set goals and when they are met or not met, then re-evaluate. Don’t get caught up in the conversation of how you are doing. Written goals can support this not happening. Of course, if the cancer takes a dramatic wrong turn, then that’s time to re-evaluate.

Stay objective but always in your intuition. And learn to know when it’s your intuition and not your fears. This is part of the healing. Every small or large challenge emotionally is another chance to heal. How you are going about healing is a healing in of itself

Thinking And Illness

Published by Greg under Healing Retreats

I was sitting with one my partners the other day and she said something that struck me: “Illness is way to tell us we have developed a pattern of negative or un-healthy thinking.” It seems like a simple statement and one I have said to clients in one variation or another but in the moment with her, I heard it deeper.

Hearing things deeper is really the theme here on Sedona Retreats. As I was sitting there with her, I remember recognizing she was in what I call “the zone” meaning talking right from her wisdom and that I should get very quiet in my thinking and just listen deeply and BAM–I got it!

What I heard is that if we have a chronic illness or some consistent minor psychical upset (like stomach aches once a week) to take a look at our general everyday thinking. And this unhealthy thinking could be invisible to you for a number of reasons: you are so use to doing it you just don’t notice it or you just deny you are having it.

What went deeper in that moment for me was an even firmer belief in this idea. I felt a new kind of hope for my clients and myself because if it is our thinking that gets us ill, we can fix that! And that’s my mission here in the Magic Kingdom, to support clients to identify what that thinking is and let it go once and for all. Remember all healing is multi-dimensional and I want to encourage everyone who is challenged by illness to put your unhealthy thinking at the top of the list!

The Mind-Body Connection

Published by Greg under Healing Retreats, Uncategorized

I never met client who doesn’t believe in the mind-body connection but when asked what actions they are taking to address that connection–the percentage drops to 10%. Shocking–yes, I know! Why, is the big question. There are many reasons: fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear of others opinions, etc. Fear is the usually at the core of the reason. Yes, it is hard to make a change based on something that “may” happen.

I had a wonderful woman in my office on healing retreat last week who was just not leading the life she wants. In fact, I don’t think i ever seen a woman with such a deeply broken heart. I asked her a question: “If you could put all the details over in the corner, all the concerns for other peoples’ feelings, what would you really like to do?” She said, she would love to travel the world! I asked her if she had the funds-no, she, didn’t. Then something occurred to me: “What would you think of doing volunteer work in another country?” She says she would love that! Well I gave her the name of organization called www.globalcrossroads.com that in fact does just that! They place people all over the world in volunteer posts.

Now, this client was very aware that she was on the path to getting sick or she had a high probability of getting a seriousness illness unless she made a change. Most clients are aware when this is going on. As I saw her excitement at the thought of helping people in other country, something occurred to me again! I said to her, “Well you can look at it like this: 3 months of a great adventure helping people in need or 3 months of chemo therapy a year from now.” Her response: “Got it, Greg, thank you.”

Sometimes we really have to bring it down to that level–to really see the choice bluntly. Can you make a detour before the bad thing happens? Does the bad thing have to happen for you to get it, or could you avoid it and do what you need to do now!

As a cancer survivor, I have to ask myself this question periodically. Just because the bad thing happened, doesn’t mean it can’t happen again. Be bright, brothers and sisters.

A Ho,
Greg

Sedona Sacred Journey Retreats - Focusing On The Emotional

Published by Greg under Healing Retreats

Here at Sedona Sacred Journeys we focus on the possible emotional contributors to getting cancer or other serious illness in an One or Multiple Day Healing Retreat. As a cancer survivor myself, I truly understand the importance of covering this apsect of a healing stradgey. In these retreats, we identify the possible cellular memory that contributed to the cancer and then decide the best and most powerful way for you to clear it.

The Journey Work developed by Brandon Bays is one powerful choice. I write about one of my Journey Sessions in this Article: The Cellular Memory. It created a major healing shift in me around forgiveness. And forgiveness of oneself or someone else at the adult or inner-child level is usually the reason people get cancer. There is a great deal of documentation around this.

Also, while you are here on retreat, we teach you how to access your natural wisdom and stay out of your thinking! This is a good thing and can create a beautiful happy life. And we will also refer you to docotors or health practioners around the country who can assist in an post cancer detox or ongoing alternative protocol.

As you read my stories and guidance you will note that I am both a believer in both conventional and alternative approaches to healing. In my own cancer journey which lasted four years, the first three were done in an aggressive alternative program and the last year I did both chemo and radation which they ultimately saved my life.

We also welcome newly diagnosed cancer patients or people who are undergoing treatment. Our philoshy is simple: creating a multi-dimension stradgey to healing will give you the highest probality of success. And we have many resources and information for clients who want to cover all their options.

I welcome you to look through our parent website: Sedona Sacred Journeys and also the specfic link to Cancer Healing Retreats

Blessings,
Gregory Drambour
